Lenin was a philosopher, economist, leader of the Russian Revolution of 1917 and the leader of the state until his illness made it impossible to chair the meetings of the People's Commissars. His works cover varied subjects from economics (e.g. The development of Capitalism in Russia), through philosophy (e.g. Empiriocriticism) to political science (e.g. State and Revolution).
